Symptoms of Hodgkin lymphoma
The signs or symptoms of Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) vary depending on where it is in the body. Other health conditions can cause the same symptoms as HL.
The most common symptom of HL is a painless swollen lymph node in the neck, underarm, groin or chest. Other symptoms of HL include:
- itchy skin
- fatigue
- loss of appetite
- shortness of breath, coughing or wheezing
- pain in the lymph nodes when drinking alcohol
B symptoms@(headingTag)>
B symptoms play an important role in determining the stage and prognosis for HL. They are a group of symptoms that affect the whole body. B symptoms are:
- a fever higher than 38˚C (100.4˚ F) that has no obvious cause (your temperature may be high for several days, or it may switch between normal and high for days or weeks)
- night sweats that are so heavy your bedding or clothes are wet and need to be changed
- unexplained weight loss of at least 10% of your body weight over 6 months
