Each year, our advocacy team shares multiple engagement opportunities with the panel, including our annual cancer care survey. Your feedback helps shape our advocacy priorities to reflect what patients truly need, influencing the future of cancer care in Canada.
Insights from the 2024/2025 winter survey directly informed our position on innovation in cancer care, highlighting strong support for practical advancements like precision medicine, and identifying cost, workforce shortages, and regulatory delays as major barriers.
Your input has already guided seven agency consultations on cancer drug access topics such as biomarker testing and helped shape a coordinated advocacy strategy—pushing for public coverage of radioligand therapies and opportunistic PSA testing, expanded clinical trial access, and policies that reduce the financial burden of cancer. Together, we’re working to ensure innovation and patient priorities reach people equitably across Canada.
