Results of the June 2017 Knowledge to Action Grants Competition

We are pleased to announce the results of the most recent Knowledge to Action Grants competition to encourage ideas that will close the gap between what is known from research and what is done with that knowledge. Below is a listing of newly awarded Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) Knowledge to Action Grants.

4 Canadian Cancer Society Knowledge to Action Grants have been approved – 27% of all full proposals received. 24 abstract registrations were submitted to the competition and following a relevance review 16 of these were invited to submit full applications, and 15 were received. All grants have been awarded to a maximum budget of $100,000 with a maximum 2-year term. The 4 grants total almost $400,000 in funding over the terms of these grants.

Funds committed to this competition have been made possible by the significant efforts of Canadian Cancer Society volunteers and donors across the country and by the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).
