Together, Let’s Dethrone Colon Cancer

Colorectal cancer is the 2nd deadliest cancer in Quebec,
Let's shatter taboos and talk about early detection to defeat this cancer.
Dan Bigras talks about colorectal cancer screening

The Together, Let's Dethrone Colon Cancer campaign encourages all Quebecers between the ages of 50 and 74 to discuss colorectal cancer screening with the fecal immunochemical test (FIT) with their family doctor or nurse practitioner. The test is more accessible than ever before given that people can now book an appointment on Clic Santé (free service) to obtain one.

It is essential to take action and get the FIT screening every two years given that 92% of cancer cases appear after the age of 50 and early detection is THE solution that could change the future of colorectal cancer and have an extremely positive impact on your life.

“I'm getting involved because people shouldn’t take any chances with their health. They should do the FIT screening because the best treatment for cancer remains early detection. I was really surprised to learn how easy it is to take the test. There's no reason not to do it!”
