Thanks to Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) donors, we have been recognized for our efforts to shape health policies to prevent cancer and better support those living with the disease.

In 2020, we were identified by the Hill Times as one of Canada’s top 4 most active health lobbyists. This means we met with the federal government more than most Canadian health organizations - 96 times more, to be exact. We will continue to be the voice for Canadians who care about cancer and are committed to bringing that voice forward to governments.

CCS was also identified as a top health influencer by the Hill Times both in Fall 2020 and Winter 2021. CCS was among a shortlist of 11 stakeholder groups identified by the Hill Times for their ability to influence health policy.

These achievements show that not only are we knocking on government's door more than most organizations, but that those efforts are leading to action and changing policies that will help people affected by cancer.

Advocacy at CCS is focused on shaping health policies that will prevent cancer and support those living with the disease and their caregivers.
